A Brief History…
It all started sometime in the late 90’s when Christopher Marins and Maz Nylund got the idea of going into Raseborg Castle, armed with only a Hi8 video camera and a flashlight, in hope of documenting a possible haunting. They didn’t have any luck that time, but the experience felt like a beginning of an adventure.
Suddenly a boom of ghost hunting TV-series spread through the world. Knowing this, and being a little skeptic about the paranormal, they also found others who shared their interest and in 2009 the idea of making their own documentary series came up…Chasing the Dead was born.
Catching evidence of a possible haunting has always been Chasing the Dead’s main focus. But what they really want to do is to somehow get people to realize, that ghosts usually seem to appear when irrational thoughts become rational. The truth, as always, will be far stranger to those who immediately think irrationally!
